Potpourri Stitchers: Finishing Cylindrical Objects

We’ll start with a quick check-in on the progress of Strawberry Fayre. Then we will discuss various techniques for finishing cylindrical shapes. This could include ornaments, containers, frame weights, needle cases or drum-shaped pin cushions - whatever is cylindrical.

Show us your finished and in progress or future cylindrical pieces. Wooden Spool Pincushion - this is a project originally done as a make-it-and-take it at a past retreat designed by Mary Ann G.

If you wish to participate by videoconference, you will need the following: (see photo for one example)

  • Wooden spool
  • Ribbon
  • Felt
  • Buttons
  • Usual sewing supplies
  • Glue
  • Strong sewing thread
  • Stuffing for pincushion

All of these items will be provided at the meeting if you can attend in person, plus you can bring your own to add to the pile.

This group meets monthly the 3rd Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to approx. 2:00 p.m.  

LOCATION: This will be a hybrid meeting. This month, in-person attendees will meet at Sandy R's home. The link for those connecting by video conference is on the Member Resources page.
