Sponsored by Minnesota Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild

Challenge yourself! Create three separate interwoven knots with metallic braid and Vineyard silks. The knots, placed in the body of the design, are surrounded by patterns of stitches. Many of the stitches selected also appear interwoven to further enhance the knots. Some of the stitches used are Japanese braid, T-stitch, crisscross Hungarian, and double alternating Nobuko. The design is bordered in another knot pattern using all of the colors. This multicolored sennit stitch, while requiring thought in the execution, soon develops into a stitching rhythm that makes for a rewarding challenge and a dynamic border for this piece.
