Tiny Treasures: Square

This design is stitched on 18-ct mono canvas using overdyes and metallics. In our tiny design we will have stitches that bring depth and interest to the piece. There will be a variety of threads as well as two color options. The kit will also include a small metal frame and card stock paper for backing.
Beginner, ½ - day class
Yuval Cuff

This unique, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry includes the best of materials: overdyed fiber, fresh water pearls, glass beads, and Swarovski crystals. The class will deal with a variety of decorative stitches such as Rhodes, Cushion and Crescent, and will also cover beading on canvas, finishing techniques and embellishment techniques.
There are three colorways available: in this photo Red is on the left, Turquoise is on the right and Purple is in the back.

Color Inspiration
In this hands on color class, students will receive two photos in the mail, two months prior to class. They will choose one to be their subject, and will be asked to start collecting materials they feel interpret the colors in the photos. We will then spend class developing inspiration boards.
Orna will bring a vast array of threads - silk, rayon and cotton - in every hue imaginable. Each student will pick 9 different fibers to represent the 9 different colors in the accompanying needlepoint design. The actual choosing of the threads then becomes another layer of the teaching process.
Advanced, 2 ½ - day class
