Upcoming

February 14

The theme for Retreat 2012 is "Acorns to Oaks--Growing Through the Guild".  Starting this month and continuing on alternating months this group will be stitching on a project of your choice related to the retreat theme.  We are sure to find acorns and oaks somewhere in our stash and, if not, the local needlework stores will have a lot to choose from and designing your own project is always an option.  A few suggestions from the group:  Catherine Theron's An elegant Sewing Roll, Blackwork Acorn * Oak Leaves by Marion Scoular, design a name tag, The Cricket Collection's Infant Oaks, A is for Acorn by Hillside Samplings, Acorn Stitches by Jeannette Douglas. As always, if you want to work on something out of your stash or that gift that just has to be competed feel free to do that.  We are looking forward to seeing all of you and to a productive new year.

March 13

We will continue our sampler study.  Dig out that sampler that has been hanging around in your stash and bring it to work on, or start a new one that you have been dying to do.  If you have questions about a stitch or placement or colors, chances are there will be someone who can help or advise you.

April 10

We are working on something with a "retreat" related theme such as a name tag with an oak or acorn theme.
